You think, “What is the name of this bosomy, billowing broad? Has she come out of nowhere?” The largely, lovely leading lady’s name is Cynthia Ettinger, and she has trod a long road to Carnivàle. Her tracks (and her stretched bra straps) began at Edwards Air Force Base, California, where she was born in 1954. Then the bodacious babe traveled all over the boob tube. She can be seen everywhere from Seinfeld (1991) to ER (1994) to Family Law (2001) to Gilmore Girls (2002) to Law & Order: Special Victims Unit (2002) to Deadwood (2006), the series in which Cynthia graced with one va-va-voluminous boob hanging out. Cynthia was originally cast as Martha Kent in Smallville (2001), but during filming, the production team realized that Cynthia wasn’t right for the part and she left the project. Cynthia started doing theater instead, and when the opportunity for Carnivàle came her way, she left at the chance to do something theater-like onscreen.
